When details elevate the whole in modern interiors – three quick questions with Häfele
EXHIBITOR | With a strong focus on function, design and user experience, Häfele develops and supplies fittings, lighting and smart interior solutions for joinery and furniture production. They help the industry meet increasing demands for both flexibility and a cohesive overall feel in modern environments. Lighting, in particular, plays an increasingly important role in how we experience spaces and materials. We spoke with Erik Björklund, Sales Office Manager, who shares his insights on what makes a difference in today’s interiors, how customer needs have evolved and what you shouldn’t miss in their stand.
What small detail in interiors is making the biggest difference right now?
– Lighting. With good lighting, you can add an extra dimension to an interior. It creates added value and a completely different atmosphere. Think of a kitchen with well-designed lighting. It’s optimal when you’re working, and then you can dim it down to create a more relaxed feel.
What are your customers asking for today that they didn’t five years ago?
– Today, end customers in particular place higher demands on lighting. They want both functional task lighting and ambient lighting, as well as the ability to control it wirelessly. Joineries have previously seen lighting as a complex area, but at Häfele we offer products that make it easy to meet customer expectations.
What should visitors take a closer look at in your stand if they want to stay ahead?
– Come by and take a look at our new Free Slim flap fitting. Thanks to our patented power transmission technology, we can produce one of the slimmest fittings on the market. We have also developed a drawer system where three different types of drawers can be used on the same runner. With our Matrix drawer system, you can now combine both metal and wooden drawers on the same cabinet runner.
