Hello there, Jenny Lans, creator of the stage program at Wood Products & Technology
We had a quick chat with Jenny Lans, Content Curator for Wood Products & Technology, who is responsible for this year’s stage program. With a focus on broadening the fair into a comprehensive arena for knowledge, dialogue, and the entire wood industry value chain, she has set the framework for a program that reflects the industry’s development and future.
What has been most important for you to keep in mind when shaping this year’s program?
– Wood Products & Technology as a trade fair, much like the industry itself, has gone through a tough and transformative period. We’ve now landed in a shift and a necessary change in focus to stay relevant and at the forefront. The fair and the program began this transition back in 2024, and for 2026 we have fully embraced the shift from a machinery-focused event to a broader fair that welcomes, inspires, and educates the entire wood value chain—from sawmills to developers and architects. The most important thing for this year’s program, apart from ensuring the entire value chain is represented on stage, is to create space for in-depth conversations and dialogue between stakeholders, where we aim to contribute to moving the industry forward.
Which topics or themes do you think visitors really shouldn’t miss this year?
– Architecture and timber construction will take up a significant part of this year’s program—especially how all parts of the process can collaborate from the very beginning to create attractive and inspiring buildings that are sustainable and resource-efficient from the start. Naturally, we will also highlight more specific topics such as climate declarations, the digital value chain, fire safety, and moisture conditions in building materials, among many others.
What in the program do you think will surprise visitors this year?
– I believe the entire TräTorget area will surprise visitors this year. The stage and the surrounding area are designed to create and encourage dialogue, discussions, and workshops between speakers and visitors. We hope this will lead to new connections, networking, and collaborations that continue long after the fair has ended.
If you could recommend just one thing to take away from Wood Products & Technology 2026, what would it be?
– The network! The entire industry—across all segments and roles—comes together at Wood Products & Technology over three days, which is truly unique.
Thank you, Jenny!
